BATTERIES
Hot-Shot offers both High Amperage Alkaline Batteries and Rechargeable Ni-Cad Batteries for the prods.
Batteries for the Green HS2000, Blue LMPLUS, and Red Sabre-Six These units require six size 'C' alkaline batteries to operate. Hot-Shot has a High Amperage Alkaline Livestock Prod Cell that is designed to work best in electric prods. Because electric prods are considered a 'high drain device', a higher amperage gives the user the best performance and battery life. The Hot-Shot Battery will last longer and perform better than most 'off-the-shelf' alkaline batteries. They are available at most Hot-Shot Dealers (usually on the shelf next to the prods). Batteries for the Power-Mite The Power-Mite requires two 9 Volt Alkaline batteries. Hot-Shot does sell 9 Volt batteries to its dealers, but most 9 Volt cells on the market will work just fine (Energizer, Duracell, etc...).
Rechargeable Battery System
Hot-Shot has designed a Rechargeable Battery Pack (Part # RBP) to fit into the Green HS2000 and the Blue LMPLUS (we don't recommend the RBP be used with the Red Sabre-Six as the mechanical points in the Sabre-Six can burn out). The RBP fits in place of the six 'C' alkaline batteries and can be charged using a 110 Volt (wall outlet) or 12 Volt (auto) charger. A Hot-Shot charger must be used with the RBP or the warranty on the RBP is void. The RBP:

Prod Tester
Tester for Hot-Shot Prod Motors
Instructions for Use: Insert a HOT-SHOT motor with the studs facing out. Press button. If M1 or SS1 motor does not make any noise, clean the points or adjust the points with the attached slotted wrench. If testing an older PL1 or TS1, or our standard Sealed HS1 or LMP1 motors, listen for noise and cross wrench between studs and watch for a spark. If all else fails, call our office to determine if the motor is under warranty at 1-800-367-1253. A Leather Holster is available for the Power-Mite Hot-Shot Prod. It attaches onto the users belt easily and is made of heavy duty genuine leather.
